What we do
Newswatch has been commissioned by think-tanks to investigate whether broadcasters and other media are giving fair coverage of the issues that matter – such Britain’s relationship with the EU and green policies.
Our technique is to record, transcribe and analyse every item of relevance over a prescribed period, and then - using accepted analytical techniques - provide a detailed report of our findings.
Over 13 years, we have tracked more 10,000 hours of programming, made 5,000 transcripts and written more than 70 reports. It’s the largest corpus of research of its kind in the UK.
